About Me

When I settled in Seattle in 1980 I was fresh out of Summer Rep at the Old Lyric Theatre in Logan, Utah having just received my Master’s degree in Directing from the University of Wyoming. As a Radio/TV/Drama undergrad at Arkansas State University, I had worked as an on-air radio personality and actor. I moved to Seattle and began acting professionally. Then, following the birth of my daughter, I left the performing arts to pursue a more “stable” profession in business. Now, after a long career in telecommunications, I am back with my first love.

In the spring of 2014, long-time theatre friends convinced me to audition for acting roles again. A few months later, in a time warp, I appeared on stage professionally for the first time in over 30 years as Walter Flood in Becky’s New Car by Steven Dietz. After a few scary moments it all seemed way too easy. So, I went home and built a home recording studio to launch my voice acting business. After so much time in front of a microphone in college and grad school, the concept wasn’t quite all the way to Mars. I am a yogi. I lives in Shoreline, Washington and I continue to pursue stage, film, commercial, and voice acting roles. The most recent development in my professional life is the rediscovery of my love of storytelling. This has taken form in my production and narration of audiobooks. It has also inspired me to study the craft of writing.

It was my grandfather who first awakened my love of the oral tradition. He told hunting and fishing stories with such imagery and drama that my young mind was transported.  Now, I find myself searching for that same magic again.

    Thanks for reaching out. I am actually an audiobook narrator, not an author. So, I would be looking for reviews of the audiobook edition including narration and writing, not the ebook. Do you support audiobooks?

  2. Hello Curt, I just wanted to say you have taken a very wonderful and exciting path from being my great next door high school neighbor and friend. I have often though about you and your family from Little Rock, AR. We had a lot of fun times as teens and you were always a great friend to have for your enthusiasm and wit.     1. Oh, my dear Susan, it is wonderful to hear from you. I have very fond memories of us. Conversations that turned out to be important in my life. I remember that you saved my sanity on many occasions. I can promise you that there will be no fame, thank goodness. At the same time I want these last chapters to be in pursuit of what I love, and what feels right. I’ve discovered that my heart is bigger than I thought. And while it often feels full, which is the best of things, there is always room, which is even better. That is where you are, and where you will always be. Thank you for the gift you are in my life. May you always have peace, joy, and love.

      1. Hello my dear friend whom I have thought of throughout my many years of adult life. You always were a bright light in my teen and adult years. You were great friend and I was very proud of your accomplishments. I always knew with your witty personality and zest for life that you would make many people be able to enjoy things they didn’t even understand. You and family are a blessing to many. Stay real and life to the fullest. Oh by the way, I never made it as a rock star, since Stevie Nicks beat me out–just kidding. Take care and live long old friend.
